The 5^th international congress on Southeast Asian Gateway Evolution (SAGE 2026) will be held in Phuket, Thailand. The venue of congress will be held at Phuket Royal City Hotel, from 3^rd – 7^th of August 2026. Phuket is one of the most beautiful provinces in the Andaman Region. As an island locating in the southwest of Thailand, the province is also deemed as the “Pearl of Andaman”.

The congress is held under the project of National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) called Hub of Knowledge: The Conservation and Utilization of Biodiversity in the Mekong River Basin and is jointly organized by Center of Excellence on Biodiversity, Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Thailand, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.

The congress will adopt the style of the previous highly successful Congresses in Bogor Indonesia (2018) and Manila, Philippines (2022). We expect the Phuket meeting to be as successful. The congress will offer several symposia to international people who work or are interested in several approaches of biodiversity such as systematics, ecology, evolution and relevant subjects.

There will also be contributed paper sessions, and poster sessions. The congress will start with registration and an icebreaker party on Sunday evening, 2 August 2026. Symposia sessions will run from Monday, 3 August through Thursday, 6 August, concluding with a Farewell Dinner on Thursday night. Friday, 7 August will feature an excursion. A variety of three-star hotels are available both at the conference venue and nearby. This event promises to be one of our most affordable and memorable meetings yet.
